Two former members of Praja Pantha, a Naxalite group, were today arrested on the charge of hatching a plot to murder a realtor, Cyberabad police said.

The arrested accused have been identified as J Dasarath and S Srinu, police said.

Acting on a tip-off that the duo were going to eliminate one Babu Singh, a realtor, following a land dispute with him, police foiled their plan and nabbed them. Police also recovered country-made weapons from them.

The duo earlier worked as dalam members of Praja Pantha (CPI-ML-New democracy) in Nalgonda district and had once surrendered, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand said.

The duo also used to "settle" land disputes by threatening people, police said.
