Two get 7 yrs RI in attempt to murder case

"The Additional District and Sessions judge hold Shishpal and Balbir Singh guilty of shooting at Bhagwat Singh with a motive to kill him over some property dispute in 2009," the prosecution sources said.

However, the third accused Ram Chander was acquitted for lack of evidences against him.

The court also slapped a penalty of Rs 5,000 each on the convicts.

Shishpal, Balbir Singh along with three other aides opened several rounds of fires at Bhagwant and his father Dharmbir when they were on their way back home after working in their agricultural fields in April, 2009.

The victims sustained serious bulled injuries in the incident and were later admitted to a hospital where they recovered from the injuries after some months, the sources said.
