Two young girls were allegedly assaulted by some inebriated miscreants near Barasat railway station and two of them were arrested by the police today
North 24 Parganas district additional superintendent of police Bhaskar Mukherjee said the two girls were returning late last night after watching a cultural prohramme.
They got into an argument with the inebriated miscreants for passing comments at them and were allegedly assaulted.
The girls filed a complaint with the police today and two miscreants were arrested, Mukherjee added.
