Two govt employees arrested for accepting bribe

Two government employees were arrested today for allegedly taking bribe in separate cases in Rajasthan.

A lower division clerk Mahendra Singh, posted with Urban Improvement Trust in Sriganganagar district, was arrested for taking bribe of Rs 40,000, IG, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Smita Srivastava said here.

Mahendra had demanded the bribe from one Praveen Kumar for issuing him lease document of his land, Srivastava said.

Meanwhile, Roop Kishore, posted as Patwari (revenue employee) in Bharatpur district, was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a farmer for the measurement of his agriculture land, she said.
