Two govt officials held for taking bribe in Raj

Two government officials were arrested today by Rajasthan's anti-corruption bureau officials for allegedly accepting bribe in separate cases.

Lower Division Clerk Ritesh Sharma, posted in the office of District Education Officer in Bundi, was caught while taking Rs 5,000 in bribe from a private school owner.

The complainant, Ramesh Chand Sharma, had applied in the education department for getting affiliation for an English medium school. Ritesh had demanded the bribe for expediting the procedure, IG, ACB, Smita Srivastava said here.

In a separate case in Churu district, Gram Sevak Jagdev Singh, posted in Nuhund Gram Panchayat under Rajgarh Panchayat Samiti, was arrested for taking bribe of Rs 2,000 for issuing a land related document in the name of the complainant Rajendra Singh's wife.
