A father-son duo was arrested for arms smuggling and two pistols were recovered from them in Bihar's East Champaran district, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the 13th battalion SSB jawans arrested Mahendra Ram and his son Mukesh Ram at Mortia near the Indo-Nepal border and recovered two pistols, including one made in Japan, Commandant Arvind Kumar said.
The two men were on way to the international border to supply the pistols to a client from Nepal, he added.
