Two youths, who allegedly robbed two Haryana Police constables here after throwing chilly powder in their eyes, have been arrested, police said today.

Ravi Kumar (24) and Safi Mohammed (25) were nabbed yesterday from West Delhi following a tip-off, a police official said.

The duo had allegedly robbed Dharmendra Singh and Jasbir Singh on the night of April 4, just yards away from the Delhi Police Headquarters in Central Delhi.

The duo had approached the victims and suddenly threw red chilly powder in their eyes. By the time the victims could react, they took their purses and fled the spot, said the official.

The two Haryana policemen were posted at the Haryana Bhawan in the national capital.
