The Crime Branch of Gurgaon Police today said it has arrested two persons of a Mewat-based gang for abducting a businessman along with three of his family members for ransom on September 25 from Sohna Road here.
The accused identified as Johil and Tohid, both natives of Mewat district, were arrested on October 10 during a raid in Rojka Mau area, police said.
The duo worked for Haroon, a resident of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and the kingpin of the gang.

The abduction took place on September 25 around 11:30 pm when the gang targeted a Gurgaon-based businessman Ajay and his family, Subhash Boken, CPRO of Gurgaon Police said.
"Ajay was coming from Vrindavan with his family in an Innova car and their car was intercepted by six to seven persons in a separate car. They held all members of the family hostage on gun point and took them to Mewat," he said.
A police complaint was made after the family member's cellphones were found switched off.
The police after registered a case of missing and during investigation tracked their location to Mewat region, the official said.
"Four to five teams of Gurgaon police including the local police located the abductors' hideouts and raided the Mewat region on September 26. In fear that they would be arrested, the gang members safely left the hostages and escaped from the spot," Boken said.
Johail and Tohid revealed during interrogation that they wanted to get easy money through the kidnapping and demanding a huge amount of ransom, he said.
A hut is on for Haroon and the other gang members, he added.
