Two held in burglary case in Jammu

With the arrest of two persons, police today claimed to have solved a burglary case and recovered the items including golden ornaments that were stolen from a house in the city.

On September 24, a burglary case was registered at police station Nowabad after which a police team was constituted to nab the culprits, a police officer said.

After thorough and painstaking investigations, the team arrested Romesh Yadav of Uttar Pradesh who was working as a servant in the house of the victim and Ravi Kumar a resident of Jammu.

He said that on sustained investigation, the team managed to crack the burglary case and recovered the stolen items including one diamond ring, one gold ring, golden studs and other gold and silver ornaments.
 

The investigation of the arrested persons is going on and some more recoveries are likely to be made, he said, adding, the duo has been booked under various sections of the Ranbir Penal code (RPC).

There has been an increase in incidents of burglaries in Jammu, as two days ago some unknown burglars managed to enter a girl's hostel in Digiana and stole some items from there.
