Two held in connection with Hindu Sangharsh Sena leader's

Two persons were arrested in connection with the killing of a 45-year-old Hindu Sangharsh Sena leader here last month, police said today.

Vipan Sharma was shot dead in broad day light in the Bharat Nagar locality on Batala road on October 30.

Addressing a press conference, Amritsar Police Commissioner S S Shrivastav said that two accused persons, Vishal Sharma and Kunvarbir Singh, had been arrested for their alleged involvement in the killing.

Police claimed to have recovered the bike used in the killing from Vishal Sharma, a resident of Tarn Taran road here.

Both the arrested accused helped the two main accused, Saraj Mintu and Shubham, to move out of Punjab safely, Shrivastav said. He added that raids were being conducted to arrest Mintu and Shubham.
