The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police has arrested two persons wanted in connection with their alleged role in violence in Panchkula after Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in a rape case.
The accused Pal Singh and Baljinder Singh were arrested from Goluwala in Sriganganagar district following a tip-off, SP SOG Sanjay Shrotriya said.
He said that the duo had played a role in triggering violence in Panchkula. They were handed over to Haryana police for further investigation, he added.
