Two held with ephedrine worth Rs 3 crore

Two persons were arrested near a hotel at Bhayandar in Maharashtra's Thane district Saturday for allegedly possessing 25-kgs of ephedrine drug worth around Rs 3 crore, police said.

The accused are identified as Yogesh Shah, 50, and Sadev Jamadar, a senior police officer said, adding that they are residents of Mumbai.

The duo have been booked under Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway, he said.
