Two held with intoxicant capsules in Jammu

Two persons have been arrested and a large quantity of intoxicant capsules recovered from their possession in the city.

"Two persons, including a woman, were arrested and a large number of intoxicant capsules recovered from their possession at two different places in Jammu yesterday," a police spokesman said today.

Irshad Ahmed, a resident of Paloura, was arrested from outside the gate of the Government Medical College and Hospital and 115 intoxicant capsules were recovered from his possession, he said.

In another incident, a woman identified as Rajani Devi was arrested from outside Jammu bus stand and 80 intoxicant capsules were recovered from her possession, the spokesman said.
 

He said cases under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act have been registered and investigation is on.

"More arrests cannot be ruled out in the days to come," he said.
