Two history-sheeters were

today killed in a clash between their gangs at Mangalagiri near here in Andhra Pradesh, police said.

The deceased, Mekathoti Hemanth (25) and Kakarla Ramesh, who faced several criminal cases, were rivals for a long time, G Brahmaiah, Station House Officer, Mangalagiri, said.

The duo and their associates were returning to Mangalagiri from Nidamarru after attending a Christmas party when a fight broke out between them over some dispute, he said.

In the fight, which took place at around 3.15 am, Hemanth and Ramesh were killed, the officer said.

Police filed two cases based on complaints lodged by the victims' mothers and launched a search for the assailants.
