Two imposters were arrested

today for extorting money from passing vehicles by posing themselves as district transport officials on the state highway under Pothia police station in Bihar's Katihar district, police said.

Acting on complaints by some transporters, police arrested Amarjit Singh and Navin Kumar while they were collecting money from vehicles after demanding to see papers from the drivers by posing as district transport officials, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rakesh Kumar said.

One jeep, one mobile and some documents were seized.
