Two including BSF jawan arrested

A BSF jawan and his accomplice have been arrested from Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district after fake currency notes with face value of Rs 21 lakh were seized from them, police said.

The fake notes of Rs 1,000 denomination were suspected to be from Pakistan and were brought into the state allegedly by the jawan, Krishnakumar, 42, working in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, they said.

He is said to be on two-year medical leave presently.

His accomplice, David Sam John, 40, was also arrested, police added.
