Two persons sustained bullet injuries when two groups clashed over old enmity at Azad Chowk in neighbouring Shamli district, police said here today.

The incident happened last evening after an heated argument between Islam and Tahir turned violent with their supporters pelting stones at each other and then opening fire.

Tahir Hasan (19) and Kala (32) were seriously injured in the incident and have been admitted to a local hospital, police said.

A case was registered against members of both the groups but no arrests have been made as yet, they said.
