Two security personnel were injured when their vehicle was targeted with a roadside bomb in Pakistan's restive northwest today.

The improvised explosive device went off near the security forces vehicle at Razmak Road in Bannu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province this morning, a military statement said.

Two personnel were injured in the incident.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Bannu is located near the lawless North Waziristan tribal region, often described by US officials as a safe haven for Taliban and Al Qaeda elements.
