A local court today awarded jail terms to two accused in a 2012 attempt to murder case.
Additional Sessions Judge Rajiv Kalra convicted and sentenced accused Ram Pal for ten years, while Sohan Lal was handed a term of five years.
The judge also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 each on the duo.

According to police, on March 12 of 2012, an FIR was registered against the accused under various sections of the IPC.
The prosecutor said that on March 10 that year, Mintu Saini, the complainant, along with his uncle Surjeet Singh were coming on their motorcycle from Bath Sahib to Jaswali village, where the accused gave them a signal to stop.
A little ahead, the accused, armed with deadly weapons attacked Mintu and Surjeet.
On an enquiry by police, it was found that there was an alleged love affair between Mintu and daughter of Sohan Lal, so there was a grudge between the accused and victim Mintu.
The injuries inflicted on the victims were declared as dangerous to life, by doctors.
The court observed, "the evidence adduced by the prosecution in this case is concrete, cogent and reliable".
