Security forces today arrested two Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants, who were allegedly involved in an attack that left two army personnel and a cop dead, from Baramulla district of Kashmir.

"Two persons who were part of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad module in Baramulla have been arrested," a senior police official said.

He said the arrested persons have been identified as Safeer Ahmad Bhat and Farhaan Fayaz.

"These individuals were part of JeM terror module -- operating in Baramulla and adjoining areas -- headed by a Pakistani terrorist Khalid. This module was involved in the attack on security forces on August 16 in which two armymen and a cop were killed at Khwajabagh in Baramulla," the official said.

He said one AK rifle, one pistol and some ammunition were recovered from the arrested militants.
