Five gang members, including two minors, were held here today for allegedly robbing and killing a man who boarded an auto-rickshaw driven by one of them, police said.
According to police, the victim, identified as Alok Kumar, had boarded a shared auto-rickshaw driven by one of the accused on June 22 for going to Noida from Lal Kuan here. The auto driver stopped the vehicle at an isolated place and tried to rob him. When Kumar resisted, he was stabbed to death.
The accused have been identified as Rupesh Kumar, Vakil and Ravinder. Police have refused to disclose the identity of the two minor gang members.
Eleven mobile phones, three knives and a stolen auto-rickshaw have been recovered from the possession of the gang members, police said.
