Two kids injured as unexploded fire cracker bursts

At least two minor boys sustained serious burn injuries when an unexploded cracker burst at a marriage procession suddenly blew up in Odisha's Sundergarh district.

The seriously injured children were admitted at the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) here in critical condition.

The incident took place at Bonai area yesterday and the injured were identified as Pratap Kanar (6) and Subrat Kumar Giri (3) of nearby Keonjhar district.

The children had come to Bonai to attend the marriage of one Goutam Kanar's son at Kenaveta village. The kids were playing with the unexploded crackers when the incident happened.

"The kids had been first rushed to Bonai hospital in serious condition," the police said adding, they were later on shifted to IGH for further treatment.
