Two killed, 8 school children injured in separate mishaps

Two persons were killed and at least eight school children sustained minor injuries in separate road accidents since last night, police said here.

At least eight children sustained minor injuries after a private school bus overturned and fell in a ditch near Makoda village after the driver lost control of the steering due to dense fog, a police officer said.

The children were taken to a hospital and they were discharged after first aid.

In Salarpur area, a speeding bus hit a man while he was crossing the road, killing him on the spot. The accident took place last night and the victim was identified as Vasudev (30), the police officer said.
 

In another accident last night, a cyclist, Manoj (38), carrying an LPG cylinder lost control and fell on the roadside. He was rushed to a hospital where he died within hours, the officer said.

Meanwhile, a Scorpio car rammed into a stationary BMW car near sector 127 on Noida Expressway. Though no one was injured in the accident, both cars were badly damaged, the officer added.
