The accident occurred when the jeep veered off the road and fell into a gorge between Barogi and Kandari villages in the district at 10:30 last night, SHO Purola police station said today.
One person died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries later at a nearby hospital.
It is still not clear what led to the mishap, SHO added.
