The deceased were identified as Ram Chandra Panda (50) and Gourahari Nayak (30) of Keshapur Shasan, police said.
Miscreants attacked the two with sharp weapons while they were returning from Balisira to their village on a motor-cycle after shoping, said SP (Ganjam) Asish Singh.
Though the exact reason of the incident was yet to be known, preliminary inquiry showed previous enmity might have led to the attack, the SP said.
Police said the accused have been identified and a hunt was launched to nab them.
