Two killed, four injured in road accident

Two persons were killed and four others injured in road accident on NH-57 near a village under Narpatganj police station area in Bihar's Araria district, a police officer said today.

The mishap took place near Chakardaha village late last night as Tata spacio rammed into a minibus from behind, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rajkumar Sah said.

A minibus occupant died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries in a hospital, he said, adding the victims were identified as Yogendra (50) and Chaturanand Singh (50).

Four others - all occupants of the ill-fated minibus - sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment, the SDPO said.
 

Both vehicles have been impounded even as its driver managed to escape, Sah said.
