Two killed, four injured in separate incidents in Bundi

Two women were killed and four other persons got injured, including Circle in-charge of Bundi city Kotwali, in separate incidents in the district.

In the first incident, a 50-year-old woman, identified as Firdos alias Firojbano, died when she was swept away by strong currents while taking a bath in the main canal of Chambal river in in Kunhadi area on Friday, police said today.

Her body was recovered from a canal yesterday in Daihet village under Keshoraipatan police station, SHO Ajit Meghwanshi said.

Search operation was launched soon after a minor girl, who was accompanying the woman, informed her family of the incident but the body could be recovered from the canal in Daihet yesterday, the SHO said.
 

The body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem was conducted on the woman.

In another incident, a 19-year-old female mine worker, identified as Indira, a resident of Nayagaun, died yesterday after a crane overturned while lifting heavy stones in a mine near Dabi police station area of the district, police said.

The mishap occurred when Indira and her father were sitting on the crane and eating their lunch, they said.

Indira was rushed to a private hospital in Kota where she was declared brought dead, they said.

In yet another accident, Circle in charge (CI) of Bundi city Kotwali Subodh Kumar, his wife and two others received injuries when the jeep they were travelling in collided with a mini truck on NH 52 near Pech Ki Bawari under Hindoli police station yesterday, police said.

The four were referred to Bundi district hospital after receiving first aid at a community health centre (CHC), Hindoli, they said adding a case has been lodged against the mini truck driver, they added.
