Two killed in accidents in Chamba and Sirmaur

Two persons were killed and four others injured in two accidents in Chamba and Sirmaur districts of Himachal Pradesh today.

In Sirmaur, a Haryana Roadways bus collided with a sedan coming from the opposite side near Katasan on the Kala-Amb-Paonta Sahib National Highway. A woman travelling in the car died on the spot.

The bus also rammed into two other cars after losing control, leaving three people injured. They have been admitted to a hospital at Nahan.

In the second incident, one person was killed and another was seriously injured after the car carrying them fell into a deep gorge near Balu, 30 km from Chamba, police said.
 

The deceased was identified as Ravi from Pandah village, while the injured person, who was rushed to Chamba hospital, was identified as Shyam Kumar.

Chamba DSP Vir Bahaadur said that the body of the deceased had been handed over to his family.
