Two killed in clash

others seriously injured in a clash between two families in Satakuta village in Sundargarh district about 80 km from here, police said today.

Police rushed to the village this morning and arrested six persons belonging to both families in connection with the clash in which swords, bows and arrows and sticks were used late last night.

Enemity between the families of Ghana Nayak and Nabin Nayak was stated to be the cause of the clash. The deceased were identified as Ghana Nayak (55) and Kumar Nayak (35).

All six injured belonging to two families were shifted to Rourkela Government Hospital here. Some of them with critical injuries were referred to Ispat General Hospital.

 

Police arrested six persons and seized sharp weapons, arrow and bow used in the crime.

Police force was deployed in the village and situation was under control, police said.
