Two people including a girl were killed and another injured when an LPG cylinder caught fire at a tea shop in the district on Thursday, police said.
While shop owner Karuppiah and his eight-year-old daughter died on the spot, another girl sustained burns and has been admitted to the government hospital, they said.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
