Two killed in firing over old enmity during wedding function

Two minor boys were killed and four others were injured when a person opened fire during a wedding function in Kaima village here, allegedly after altercation over an old enmity, police said today.

After a heated exchange of words between two groups, the accused Mohammad Anwar opened fire at Firoz's residence last night, Inspector incharge AK Misra said, adding Hamid (9) and Rajendra (16) were killed in the incident.

Those injured were referred to Allahabad in a serious condition, Misra said.

There has been a long-standing rivalry between the two sides, the inspector said.

An FIR has been filed against four persons in this regard, he added.
