At least two persons were killed and another injured in separate lightning strikes in Odisha's Jajpur and Dhenkanal districts today, police said.
A cowherd was killed as lightning struck when he was out with cattle in a field at Bhuban village under Dharmashala block of Jajpur district, they said.
In another incident in the district, a man was injured in lightning strike in Ichhapur area.
In Dhenkanal district, one person was killed at Kuninda village under Bhuban Police Station limit as lightning struck when he was returning home in a motor-cycle, a police official said.
