The accident occurred when a team of Trade Tax department was on a checking assignment near Shikarpur tiraha, Circle Officer Lalsab Yadav said.
Driver Desh Raaj and constable Om Prakash were killed in the accident.
The driver lost control of the bus and the vehicle hit the jeep parked on the roadside, he said adding, the driver fled the spot soon after the accident.
