A mother-son duo were killed when a motorcycle on which they were travelling hit a truck parked along a road in Odisha's Ganjam district today, police said.
The incident happened near Kanchuru on National Highway 59, about 20 kilometer from here, under the jurisdiction of Hinjili police station.
The two were on their way to attend a feast at Hinjili, said the inspector-in-charge of Hinjili police station, Prasant Kumar Sahoo.
The deceased were identified as 29-year-old Siba Shankar Das and his mother 60-year-old Chandrama Das of Kanchuru.
The bodies were recovered from the spot and sent for post-mortem examination at MKCG Medical College here, he said.
