Two killed in separate incidents in J'khand

Two persons including a tribal woman were killed in two separate incidents in two districts of Jharkhand, the police today said.

In the first incident, a 40-year-old woman identified as Sonamati Kui was killed in Jagannathpur village under Gamariah police station of adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district last night, said Officer-in-charge of the police station, Adikant Mahato.

Mahato said the victim, a married woman, was having an affair with a 24-year-old youth, Ravi Ho.

They had quarrelled last night over the issue of getting married when Ho allegedly slit her throat, he said adding, Ho has been arrested.

In an another incident, 23-year-old Lakhan Karmakar was beaten to death by Guhi Karmakar, his son and others over a petty issue in Belajori on National Highway 33 under M G M police station here, the police said.
 

A case has been registered in this regard but no arrest has been made as yet, the police added.
