Two killed, one injured in accident in Nashik

Two persons were killed and

another seriously injured when a speeding vehicle hit the motorcycle they were riding here in Maharashtra on Friday, police said.

The accident took place near Chehedi on the Nashik- Pune Highway at around 12.20 pm.

According to the police, the deceased were identified as Adarsh Rohidas Karad (18) and Aakash Ravindra Gawali (21), residents of Vijaynagar near here.

The injured person, Dnyaneshar Balu Kedar (24), and the deceased were on their way to home when a speeding vehicle hit their motorcycle.

Gawali and Karad died on the spot, whereas Kedar received serious injuries and was admitted to Bytco Hospital in suburban Nashik Road, they said.

 

The driver of the speeding vehicle fled from the spot after the accident, the police added.
