Two killed, six injured as bus overturns in Bihar's Ara

Two persons including a woman were killed and six others injured when a bus they were travelling in fell into a ditch in Bihar's Bhojpur district, police said.

The driver lost control of the vehicle as it overturned at Bahoranpur bund under Jagdishpur police station of the district, Jagdishpur Sub-Division Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dayashankar said.

The bus was on its way to Bihiya Chaurasta from Damodarpur under Piro police station of the district.

The deceased have been identified as Raj Kumar Tiwary (40) and Devvanti Devi (50), he said adding that the injured have been admitted to a nearby private clinic.
 

While Shahpur resident Tiwary died on the spot, Damodarpur resident Devvanti Devi succumbed to her injuries at a private clinic, he said.

The driver of the bus has been arrested, he added.
