Two killed, six injured in road mishaps in Ghaziabad

Two persons were killed and six others were injured in separate road accidents under various police stations of the district during last 24 hours said police.

Two youths Sunil (25) and Manoj (24) both residents of jhuggi colony of Nandnagri in east Delhi were rammed by some unknown speeding vehicle on Saturday mid-night when they were crossing the road near Duhai village on Delhi-Meerut road.

Murad Nagar police rushed both of them to district hospital at Sanjay nagar where Sunil succumbed to his injures today morning.

Injured Manoj is still under treatment.

Sunil's body has been sent for post mortem said SHO Ummed Yadav.
 

In another incident Laxmi Kumar (54) a resident of Badalpur village was run-over by some speeding vehicle on Vijay Nagar bye-pass.

He was rushed to a nearby private hospital by police where he died during treatment on Saturday night.

His body has been sent for autopsy, police said.

In a separate incident near Dasna town an auto ferrying passengers turned-turtle when a fast moving car over-took it due to which the auto driver lost his control.

SHO Masuri Raj Kumar Yadav told that injured Salim, Iqbal, Manish, Abid and Usman were rushed to nearby hospital.

All of them were relieved after treatment.
