Two KLO and MULTA militants nabbed

Two militants, belonging to the Kamtapur Liberation (KLO) and the Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam (MULTA), were apprehended by security forces in Assam's Kokrajhar and Dhubri districts today.

Acting on specific intelligence, Army and Police personnel launched an operation in Jaldoba area and arrested the KLO militant, a Defence spokesperson said.

The militant was identified as Ajay Barman alias Takla and a 9 mm pistol, two hand grenades and some live rounds of ammunitions were recovered from him.

In another operation, based on specific input, a joint team of the Army and Police launched an operation in Chapar area of Dhubri district and arrested the MULTA militant.
 

The nabbed militant has been identified as Mohd Aladdin Ali and a 9 mm pistol, a .22 mm rifle, 2.75 kg of TNT, ten electric detonators and some live rounds of ammunitions were recovered from his possession.
