Two law officers in Madras HC resign

Two law officers in the Madras High Court today resigned.

Public Prosecutor Rajarathinam resigned as PP and in his place C Emalias has taken over as PP-in-charge.

Emalias took charge in the presence of Advocate General Vijay Narayan in the Law officers' chambers.

Another resignation was that of Government Pleader M K Subramanian. T N Rajagopalan has taken over as GP-in-Charge in his place.

Senior advocate Vijay Narayan was appointed Tamil Nadu's Advocate General on August 30 following the resignation of R Muthukumaraswamy who resigned, citing personal reasons.

Petitions such as those challenging disqualification of 18 mlas belonging to sidelined AIADMK leader T T V Dhinakaran and seeking a floor test are pending adjudication in the high court.
