Two Maoist supporters held

Two supporters of the CPI(Maoists) were today arrested from Tirla village under Manoharpur police station of West Singhbhum district, the police said.

Acting on a tip off about the assembly of Maoists in the house of one Habil Horo, a police team cordoned off the area and conducted raid, arresting him and an accomplice Shankar Singh Mundari, Superintendent of Police Michael Raj S said.

The SP said Maoist literature, letter pads, map, receipt book, a mobile phone and a sim card were recovered from their possession.

Habil confessed he has been working for a Maoist leader Sandipji and collected levy for him, the SP added.
