Two Maoists arrested from Jharkhand

CPI (Maoist's) self-styled sub-zonal commander Pramod Kumar carrying the Rs three lakh reward on his head and self-styled area commander Akul Singh tried to escape the police cordon but were arrested yesterday from Goindi village, Superintendent of Police Kranti Kumar told reporters here.

Kumar faces 24 Naxal-related cases in Palamau division, he said and added, a 9mm pistol and seven bullets were recovered from them.

Three other Maoists were arrested from Jharkhand during the past week.
