Two Maoists, including a self-styled area commander wanted for the killing of policemen were arrested in a raid on a village in Jharkhand's naxal-hit West Singhbhum district.
The area commander, Sibo Chaki, was arrested today on information provided by a Maoist nabbed from Railway Colony at Chakradharpur last night, Superintendent of Police, N K Singh.
A country-made pistol and three rounds of ammunition were seized from his possession, Singh said.
Chaki was wanted in 18 cases, including a landmine blast in Chikrighati West Singhbhum in 2009 which claimed the lives of seven policemen including the officer-in-charge of Goilkera police station, he said.
