Two Maoists held with weapons

Two Maoists have been arrested with a haul of arms from Khaira police station area in Bihar's Aurangabad district, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, the police nabbed the two Maoists of an obscure outfit Gyanmukti Parishad from a vehicle parked on the road yesterday and seized two country-made pistols, a revolver, a rifle and six rounds of ammunition, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Upendra Kumar Sharma said.

The arrested ultras have been identified as Raju Chauhan and Prakash Ram, natives of Husainabad village of Jharkhand's Palamu district, he said.
