Two students of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital here were arrested today in connection with the clash with local tribal boys on Tuesday.
Nadia superintendent of police Arnab Ghosh confirmed the arrests.
The clash occured over right to play in an open ground situated near the medical college which is under the primary health engineering department.

Yesterday both sides began playing at the field and as their balls interrupted each other's game the clash broke out during which the medical students beat up the tribal boys with bats and wickets and injured three of them, police said.
The three were rushed to the hospital and the rest two were admitted and released today, hospital sources said.
A complaint was lodged by the tribals demanding at the arrest of the medical students involved in the clash.
A police contingent under additional superintendent of police Ajay Prasadh, sub-divisional police officer of Kalyani Kaustuvdipta Acharya, inspector-in-charge of Kalyani Tushar Kanti Kar spent the night at the spot to control the situation in view of the tension, the police said.
The two medical students were arrested at around 2 am. They were later produced before a local court which granted them bail.
