Two mega road projects for Hisar

To boost the road connectivity in Hisar district of Haryana, the foundation stone of two ambitious road projects worth Rs 1,500 crore will be laid on July 28.

While stating this today at Hisar, Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda said including district Hisar, a large part of Haryana would be directly connected to Delhi through railways and roads.

On July 28, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Oscar Fernandes, Union Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will lay the foundation stone of Hisar-Rohtak national highway and Hansi-Meham-Rohtak railway line, he informed.

Hooda said about Rs 1,000 crore will be spent on construction of the 99-km long highway. Similarly, over Rs 500 crore would be spent on Hansi-Meham-Rohtak railway line.
 

He said that "these two mega projects would completely transform Hisar. With these two projects, a new industrial corridor would be developed from Delhi to Hisar and various other opportunities of development would emerge."

With this, Fatehabad, Hisar and Sirsa district, falling in western Haryana would directly get connected to Delhi and with the six laning of Hisar-Rohtak national highways, the road travel between Hisar and the mational capital would become easier and smooth, the MP added.
