Two members of an inter-state gang of dacoits were arrested by the Hyderabad Police from Rajasthan recently, a senior officer said here today.
A special team from Central Crime Station (CCS), a wing of Hyderabad Police, arrested Arshad alias Aarthi and Hassan Mohammad from Alwar district in Rajasthan, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes and SIT) Swati Lakra told reporters here.
Police seized a tapancha (country-made pistol) with two live rounds from the duo.

"Arshad is a proclaimed offender and a notorious gangster who has been absconding for five years. He was involved in 11 cases of attempt to murder, kidnapping, cheating, extortion, Arms Act in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh," Lakra said.
The special team also went to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan and collected valuable evidence, including CCTV footages, bank account details, cards swiping details and other technical data, against the accused.
Based on these evidences, the police have identified four other members of the gang and subsequently nabbed them in Gujarat. They are being brought to the city on a production warrant, the officer said.
"They have confessed to having committed several offences in Hyderabad, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Punjab," she said, adding that the gang members were cheating the innocent gullible people throughout the country.
The officer said that the special team has identified a total of 25 gangs and around 100 members associated with them, spread over 35 villages in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
"These gangs are famous as 'Tatlu Baaji gangs'," the ACP said, adding that most of the gang members possess country-made fire arms and live rounds.
