Two minor sisters were killed and four other members of a family injured when their house collapsed due to heavy rains near here, a senior district official said today.
The two-storey house belonging to one Rajnarayan Sharma suddenly caved in due to heavy rains in Surajpol area of Narsinghgarh town last night.
His two daughters Vandana (10) and Vidhi (06) died on the spot, while four others, including his wife, were injured, Rajgarh Collector Anand Sharma said.
He has ordered an administrative inquiry into the incident which will be conducted by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Morsingh Malviya.
The Collector has sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh each to the kin of the deceased girls.
