Two miscreants today looted Rs 14 lakh from two private security guards at gunpoint in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, police said.

Naugachhia Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mukul Ranjan said the incident occurred near Chakmaida village on NH 31 when the private security guards were going to deposit Rs 14 lakh at Kharik branch of ICICI bank after collecting the amount from a Reliance petrol pump.

The two bike borne miscreants suddenly appeared and snatched the bag containing Rs 14 lakh from them at gunpoint, the SDPO said.

However, different statements by the two security guards have raised doubts over the incident, he said.
