Two more held and detained under Goondas act

Two more persons were arrested in connection with robbing gold ornaments weighing 150 sovereigns and Rs 40 lakh from a house here by posing as Income Tax officials in October last, police said today.

Earlier, five persons were arrested and lodged in the Central Jail and later detained under Goondas Act.

The two were arrested yesterday and detention orders detaining them under Goondas Act served on them last night at the Central jail, police said.

On the pretext of seizure, they had decamped with the ornaments and money.
